If we haven’t met, I’m Kacey.
It’s very nice to meet you.
Without going into excruciating detail – I’m just a girl with some outrageous dreams… but I’m not average. Some would say, I’m quite the opposite.
Unfortunately, I’m not the stereotypical girl. I don’t love pink and I don’t wear dresses and heels. I mean, I will, but I don’t like it. 99% of the time, I’m wearing whatever is comfortable and that typically involves adidas joggers, sweatpants, or jeans along with a t-shirt. I’ve had the same jacket for over a decade and it has so many patches, the patches are getting close to taking over.
Some of my hobbies include playing video games, playing and watching sports, business, economics, personal finance, psychology, entrepreneurship, and productivity.
I came across a podcast that reminded me that hundreds of years ago, there weren’t the same social structures as we have today. There were barbarians, conquerors, farmers, marketers, philosophers, politicians, and entertainers. In our modern world, the savagery has diminished, but within the barbarians and the conquerors was this inhuman desire to compete, conquer, and win. I’m not saying that I’m on that level, but it was a good reminder that as a woman, being hyper competitive and enjoying the hobbies that I do, it’s okay to be different.
I quit my job in August 2022 to pursue a life of my choosing. A life I couldn’t help but love to live.
What does that mean?
Everyone has their own definition of being rich, but let me share mine – a life full of freedom, I hate being told what to do, when to do it, or where to be. I love the ability to have flexibility in my schedule and the freedom to wear what is comfortable to me. I want to wake up every morning and enjoy a cup of coffee with my favorite person, Tyler.
My ideal routines involves coffee, cooking breakfast together, eating at the table without distractions, and then getting into the zone through writing. Although I’d like to eventually branch out into other mediums, the ability to help others through sharing what I’ve learned along the way, seems like a dream come true.
Our primary goal was to take the risk while we’re young to do something most will never take action to do or have the opportunity to do. We didn’t want to take that for granted. After we were able to pay our bills and had a little bit to save and spend to enjoy experiences we wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford, enough was enough. We weren’t looking to make more money, we wanted to buy back some of our freedom.
So… why are you here? Well…
To be blunt, I’m hoping to change the world. One person at a time.
Most of the time, we get a deep dive and behind the scenes look into someone long after they’ve “made it”.
Well, lucky for you, I haven’t made it at all 😛
So I’m hoping to use this as an opportunity for both of us. For me, I’m going to be forced into action very publicly. For you, you can watch as I learn, grow, and make mistakes. Hopefully, you’ll learn from my mistakes as well as make some of your own. Because let’s be real, if we’re living an entirely safe life, are we truly living?
Of course, it makes sense that all of my content will be free because I’m still figuring it all out… but it won’t be free forever.
Hopefully by the end of this experiment, we’ve both outgrown our britches accomplished our goals!
